Our Story
How a simple belief — that everyone deserves a warm place to belong — became Baguio's most welcoming 24/7 café.
The Beginning
2nd Home Coffee Shop grew out of a desire to create something Baguio City had always needed: a place where the coffee is good, the WiFi is fast, and the doors never close. Rooted in the same community-first spirit as 3Bu Hostel — its neighbor and family brand — 2nd Home opened its doors at the Baden Powell Building on Governor's Pack Road, steps away from Session Road.
From the very beginning, the concept was simple: a café that feels like home. Not a sterile workspace, not a quick-stop — but a genuinely welcoming space where students can study through the night, travelers can fuel up at dawn, and friends can linger over pasta and matcha until the city wakes up again.
The name says everything. When you walk into 2nd Home, you are not just a customer. You are part of a community that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, backed by a generator so the lights never go out and the coffee never stops pouring.
What We Stand For
We built 2nd Home around the idea that hospitality doesn't have office hours. Our doors are open around the clock — generator-backed — for anyone who needs a place at any hour of the day or night.
From Halloween gatherings to late-night study squads and morning barkadas, 2nd Home has always been a community space. The café shares its DNA with 3Bu Hostel — a brand built around bringing people together in Baguio.
We serve our drinks in reusable and biodegradable cups — because good coffee and good values can coexist. Small choices, made consistently, are part of what makes 2nd Home feel different from the rest.
What We Believe
A café that feels like home is more valuable than one that feels like a showcase. We prioritize genuine comfort over rigid aesthetics.
Our matcha is ceremonial-grade. Our pastries come from Rebel Bakehouse. Our coffee is brewed with care — every single time, at every hour.
We exist for the student burning through a deadline at 3AM, the traveler arriving on the early bus, and the night-shift worker who just wants a good meal.
Eco-friendly cups aren't a marketing line for us — they're a practical commitment to the Baguio environment we call home every day.
Darwin, Joms, Jheva, Chris — our guests remember our staff by name. That kind of service is no accident. It's what we hire for, train for, and celebrate every day.
